My friends and I share books, and we chat about them over dinner, through email, etc. Often, we'll hope a particular book becomes a movie. We'll discuss which actors and actresses should play the characters as we've envisioned them. We argue (nicely) over our choices based on what the text says about the characters, as well as what it doesn't say. This is a great way to visualize a text, which is this month's reading strategy.
So, cast your current book! I can't wait to read the comments and discussions because people are loyal to their books and the characters in them.

Hi, Reilly! I knew the movie producers were trying to cast an actor for Finnick, but you broke the news (another idiom and maybe a cliche, right?) to me! I viewed some pictures of him online, and I think he's a solid choice. They're probably going to dye his hair a darker shade and give him green contacts based on his description in the book. However, movie producers and directors can take certain liberties in altering the characters. They just can't upset a book's fanbase to the point where they won't want to see the movie!

I don't know who should be Katniss. I haven't seen the movie ,I want to read all of the books. I just started Cathching Fire. It confused me because the ending of the first book had nothing to do with the second. So far it's good, on chapter 6!

Well, Katniss is struggling with returning to her old life after the games. She feels torn between her loyalty to Gale and a new bond with Peeta. Also, she doesn't know how to protect her family from President Snow or deal with the pressure of being one of the winners.

DeleteI know the rebellion in the movie showed an African American man visibily upset and attacking the government officials. That very well could be Rue's father, which is what we were led to think.
